  I wanted to take a moment to express our immense gratitude for the Sutter Davis Hospital Birth Center and the staff.
  
  In December 2016, our daughter Rose was born there.
  
  We'd discovered that she was breech just weeks before she was due.  The Santa Rosa Birth Center transferred us to the Sutter Santa Rosa where the policy is C-section delivery on all breech babies. They tried the ECV to turn her, which didn't work, and our ideal vision for the birth received a shock. We scrambled to find holistic remedies that would support. Nothing quite turned her; she was coming out breech.
  
  While my partner was focused on holding the baby in, processing her emotions, finding peace, I was researching intently. We discovered that some doctors and midwives actually supported natural breech births. The hospitals in SF had waiting lists of months past the due date. We considered driving down to LA from where we live in Sebastopol to birth with a doctor there who supports natural breech births, however the fees and travel were prohibitive. And we met with midwives who had delivered countless breech births to explore what our options were to get other perspectives.
  
  We were delighted when we discovered Dr. Annette Fineberg and the Sutter Davis Hopsital Birth Center, and we immediately set up an appointment. After seeing only panic stricken eyes for a week, we were overjoyed when we arrived to this place where they treated breech as natural. When we heard the supportive words from Dr. Fineberg and the midwives about our upcoming birth, our eyes filled with tears. Our whole world changed. Rose was finally free to be born.
  
  A few days later, Rose emerged one foot at a time. We went into the birth center around 9am, and she was born at 11:15am.
  
  The Sutter Davis Hospital Birth Center was the perfect solution for us. We were able to birth in the natural way we had envisioned, laboring in the tub and transferring to the bed for the birth, with advanced diagnostics and intervention tools on hand if needed. We opted out of the drugs and it was a stunning natural breech birth.
  
  We thank our stars every day that the staff at the Sutter Davis Hospital Birth Center not only supports vaginal breech births, but sees them as a natural variant of birth itself.
  
  We tell our community at every opportunity about this wonderful resource that is so deeply needed.
  
  Thank you for finding ways to honor the journey of birth, the mother, and the wisdom of the body, alongside the powerful tools of modern medicine. It gives us great hope.
